The Way Of The Wild Warrior By Gillie Sutherland


This is a healing journey through movement and nature.

It’s the unlocking of all the constraints that stop you feeling wild and free.

It’s a practice you can learn and use anywhere, and it’s for everyone.

Incorporating yoga, tai chi, dance, somatics, spiral fascial motion, and primal fitness, this is a form of movement medicine designed for the modern body, to bring it back to it’s natural state.

For years we have been treating the body like it’s a machine, moving and sitting in a two dimension way, and this has taken it’s toll on us, with so many people either “tired but wired”, burned out, injured,  or with bodies they have become completely disconnected from.

Yet we are plants, not machines, we need a balance of all the elements – earth, water, sunlight, air and space – to function properly. It’s like we’ve forgotten who we truly are, creatures of nature, with an innate wisdom deep within our bodies.

It’s time we got out of our heads and into our bodies, to reconnect with our first homes – our bodies and Mother Earth – and bring ourselves back to life.

Balancing strength and stability with flexibility and freedom, this moving meditation will build a healthy body, free from pain and restriction, and at the same time, calm your mind and help you move through difficult emotions.

If you’ve suffered trauma, which most of us have in some way, this will help you move from victim to survivor to goddamn freaking warrior!

A six-week course or introductory workshop will give you the foundations of the practice, as you learn, layer by layer, a sequence that you can do every day wherever you are.

Practiced regularly, you will feel more grounded, calm and strong, at the same time, you’ll enjoy more freedom of movement, improved mood, and a lighter state of being.

As well as the initial training, you will have access to all the online resources and supporting materials, including the six online classes for you to keep and use at home.

About Me

I am Gillie. I am a wild woman. I have survived and although I’m still on the journey, I now know this  … I’m a goddamn freaking warrior.

I will no longer try to make myself small to make others feel comfortable. I will no longer be scapegoated for the wrong-doings  of others. I will not be hardened to this world, no matter how it has treated me.

I have a strong back and an open heart. I dance to the beat of my own drum. I live wild and free.

I make no apologies for who I am, but I will own my shit. There will be times I’m less that perfect, but I will forgive you when you are less than perfect too. I believe that we are all innately kind, and that we are all human in that we all have imperfections.

I want to be the best that I can be, and I want to bring out the best in you. I make mistakes but I mean no harm. I won’t attack you but I will defend myself if I need to.

There are times when I will have to be strong, to say no, to put myself first. I will encourage you to do the same, and I will accept it when you do. And I will try to find the balance between regard for me and regard for you.

I will not preach, I don’t know what’s best for you. I will accept we are different, I will strive for equality. I will not judge, for I know what it’s like to be judged.

I’ve done wrong, I’ve done right. I’m trying to accept that I am not my past, I am who I am now. I hope you take me for who I am and the person I am today.

My past is messy. Sometimes I can’t make sense of it myself. But I know it’s upto me to play the cards I was dealt.

My journey has taught me much. I am no better or worse than anyone else. But if I can help others with what I’ve learned then I can find some peace in what has been.

I want this often brutal journey to have been worth it. I want to get to my final days and know I made a difference. I want this life to have meant something.

I want you to be you, and me to be me. For we are not separate, we are one. And we’re all in this together.
