LOVE YOGA Day 15: Adopt The Pace of Nature
Music: The Birds and The Bees!
This sequence was filmed at Milulici Nature Park, near Gruda, in Konavle.
It is an ecologically preserved “safe harbour” for passing travellers in need of rest, accommodation, water, and information.
It was here that I learned the Croatian phrase, “polako polako”, which means “slowly, slowly”.
When we look at how plants grow, how everything in nature works perfectly well without hurrying, we can see how this approach may also work for us.
We are, after all, plants!
As Ralph Waldo Emerson put it:
“Adopt the pace of nature. Her secret is patience”.
This feels like a big lesson for us all at the moment.
Living such busy lives previously, we now have the gift of time and space, to allow for steady growth, and going “polako, polako” so we can savour every moment, and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the bees, and all the beauty that nature has to offer.
When we look to nature, we are reminded that “life is magic”!
