Why Now????

The body is receptive, it’s waking up after winter, and as the days get lighter, we feel more hopeful and motivated, ready for a fresh start.

The challenge is that many people don’t know how to do it. The follow regimes that are someone else’s, they make it too strict, like punishment, and therefore it’s hard to stick to.

This Lighten Up! Programme was designed to be an enjoyable and sustainable educational experience for people of all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities to feel more comfortable in their bodies, gain more energy and clarity, and lightness of being.

It’s about “nourishment not punishment”, finding simple ways to enjoy being healthy, that you want to keep up for life.

In just 28 days you can have a new healthy regime, which requires only 15 minutes a day, no diets, no punishing workouts, just a simple routine that you’ve designed yourself because it brings you joy and lightness, as well as a healthier, happier body!

This programme combines my 30 years of studying how the body works, but also the secrets of behavioural and habit change, using motivational tools and techniques to help you make manageable changes.

This is not a diet, it’s not a gruelling exercise regime, and it doesn’t require a massive lifestyle change. Just 15 minutes a day (with allowances for missed days), and whatever other times you can manage throughout the week.

What you’ll get:

  • A weekly yoga and meditation class

  • An optional 3 day Ayurvedic cleanse to follow

  • Motivational tips and techniques, as well as personal support from me!


What do I know?

Many of you will know me as Yoga Teacher, perhaps even as a Motivational Trainer and Coach, but what you may not know is that my background is in Health and Fitness, I have a BA (Hons) in Physical Education, and I used to run fitness and weight loss camps.

Before I started my yoga journey, I wrote an award-winning “sustainable weight loss” programme, and for 5 years, I delivered 2-3 of these a month to on average 25 people a course. I learned a lot from all those people, what worked and what didn’t work.

What I learned from that time was the main thing holding people back (most already knew lots about diet and exercise) was Mindset and Motivation.

I developed the Magic 28 Strategy, which helps people make small incremental changes, which were manageable and enjoyable even, that they could maintain long term.

What I didn’t know back then, which I do now, is the impact of hormonal balance, looking after the nervous system, the endocrine system, and maintaining a healthy functioning metabolism.

On my own journey, where I had exhausted my adrenals, I discovered the importance of rest, a lifestyle more in line with the rhythms of nature, and slowing down, being more mindful, and of course, the art of self-care.

Adding in what I learned in India from Ayurveda, I discovered how to balance the systems of the body, and how to treat the modern epidemic of “tired but wired”, and this is part of my everyday life now, as well as in all my teachings.

Most importantly, I know that people have to find what works for them, there is no one-size-fits-all solution, but with the right guidance and support, they can learn what their body needs, but also what brings it joy! I know that if people enjoy what they are doing, they will stick to it, so I give lots of options, and try to keep it light!

Your Commitment

For me, it is important for me to help you get the most out of the course, and get value from it.So I ask that you can commit the following:

  • 2 hours at the beginning of the course to plan and prepare
  • Time to do a weekly shop and prepare some simple meals, either as batch-cook or as you go along in the week
  • 1 hour a week for your yoga and meditation class
  • 15 minutes each morning for your “miracle morning” routine

Anything extra you manage on top of that will just be a bonus to you, but please only sign up if you are committed to this. I will give you all the help and guidance you need, but you need to make the time and space for you…. Just this step in itself will make a difference!

Cost of the course:

I will usually be charging £47 for this course, but for the first pilot course, I am offering this at £27.

** If you would like a 45 minute 1-1 coaching session, this will be an additional £25, instead of £45.

There are 20 places available for this starting on Friday 28th February 2020.


What Happens Next

You will then receive an email confirming your place, you will receive instructions for accessing the course online, and there is also the option of joining the Facebook group.

All classes and videos will be available to stream, or to download, so you can watch them from wherever you are.
