Yoga in nature….where better?

I am excited to announce the details of the upcoming Yoga Camp at Highfield Farm in Topsham!

There is nothing better for our health and wellbeing than to spend time in nature, and whether it’s exercise, food, or how we live, the closer we are to nature, the healthier we are.

So, join us for a weekend of yoga, food, camping, walking and being in nature, for you….while the kids enjoy some wild adventures with Topsham Wild Camp

When:        Friday 14th August 2015 – Sunday 16th August 2015

Where: Highfield Farm, Clyst Road, Topsham, Devon, EX3 0BY

Who For: For anyone with an interest in yoga, with or without children. Beginners and newcomers welcome.

What is involved:

  • Enjoy 7 hours of yoga in the stunning setting of the farm, outdoors when possible, including the launch of Primal Yoga and Mindful Movement by Gillie Sutherland of HappyFit.
  • Option of camping for one or two nights
  • Option of a healthy food package of two breakfasts and one dinner, including a fresh fish bar be cue (vegetarian options also available)
  • Free time to explore the Organic Farm and it’s lovely nature walks, or go further afield to the Exe estuary and the delights of Topsham town.

How Much: £45 for the yoga weekend, plus different packages for food, camping, and Wild Camp adventure for the children.

Camping is £15 per person per night when you bring your own tent.

Places are limited to 15 people (plus children), and payment must be made upon booking to secure your place.

Schedule:

Friday 14th August 2015

6.30-7pm Arrivals with Welcome Drink and healthy food buffet from whole, natural foods, served in nourishing wrap, with time to set up camp, settle in and meet your fellow campers.

8.30-9.30pm Restorative Yin style yoga to put the week behind, shut off from the outside world and start to switch off that busy mind.

10pm Gather round the campfire for some socialising, or have an early night, upto you!

Saturday 15th August

830-10am Primal Yoga – a brand new, totally unique yoga style, combining techniques from yoga, Feldenkrais Method, and Primal Fitness. Learn to move as nature intended, using your body’s innate wisdom and intuition.

10.15-11.15am Mindful Movement – a moving meditation to calm the mind and bring about a sense of wellbeing, based on the work of Thich Nhat Hanh, with a bit of Gillie-style yoga blended in.

11.30am Breakfast – prepared by our on-site chef, a nourishing breakfast of Buckwheat and Coconut Pancakes, served with blueberries and natural yoghurt.

Afternoon – free time.

Join us on a nature walk around the grounds of Highfield Farm, followed by a game of boules, or other outdoor game, maybe some sunbathing and hanging around the campsite, or venture further afield and enjoy some of Topsham’s finest – the shops, the boats, the Exe estuary, bike rides, trip to the Turf, whatever you fancy.

5 – 6.30pm Flow Yoga Dance workout – a vinyasa-flow style class, set to an uplifting soundtrack, with a few dance moves thrown in, guaranteed to put you in a good mood for the night ahead.

7.30pm Bar Be Cue Time – everyone welcome to join us for a bar be cue and feast around the campfire. We are aiming to get the freshest of fish from the River Exe, along with some of the gorgeous organic produce from the farm, to bring you a Estuary-style gastronomic experience, as nature intended. Feel free to bring your own wine and music!

Sunday 9.30-11.30am Pure Flow Yoga – an energising class to cleanse the whole system, ending with an extended meditation and pranayama techniques to leave you feeling refreshed and renewed.

12pm Brunch of Italian Baked Eggs paleo-style (as with all meals, vegan and other dietary requirements can be catered for)

1pm You are free to leave or hang around and hang out  – it’s upto you!
